Bra Size: How To Find The Right Bra for You
Bra expert, Jene Luciani and Award-winning, fuller-bust British lingerie brand Curvy Kate tell us how to find the right bra! Are you listening up? Because your boobies will thank you!
5 Tips for Finding the Right Bra!
Know your body type. Shopping for bras is much easier if you know your body type and what youâre looking for. For example, if youâre bigger busted, look for fuller coverage bras, rather than demi-cups.
Wear a thin t-shirt. When bra shopping, always wear a thin t-shirt or tank top so you can really see how the bras look under the sheerest of circumstances.

Make sure it really fits. Most bra stores offer free fittings so take them up on it. And, more importantly, be open-minded about your size. As with everything, itâs about the fit and comfort, not the number (or letter) on the label. The proper fit of the bra is the most important part. You donât want any bulging, pinching, gaping, billowing, digging or slipping! And remember: our boobies change regularly, so itâs important to get fitted at least once a year.
Fake it properly. If youâve found the bra of your dreams (sometimes more of an accomplishment than finding the man of your dreams!) and they donât have it in your size, it is usually possible to go up one band size and down one cup size â" or vice versa â" in order to make it work. For example, a 34C and a 36B are often pretty similar.
Stock up on the â7 essentials.â Make sure youâre always prepared by making sure you have one bra for every day of the week and all occasions. These include an everyday bra, a sports bra, a nude t-shirt bra, a strapless bra and âspecialâ bras that are make you feel sexier (even if no one else sees!).
