Cystic forehead acne (and t-zone acne)?
Cystic Acne In Hairline, Question by : Cystic forehead acne (and t-zone acne)? Cystic Acne In Hairline
I have really bad acne on my forehead, I get a lot of whiteheads up there but also what appears to be cystic acne? It is not on the sides, just for a large area in the middle from my eyebrows up to my hairline. It is really painful and huge and lumpy but the big ones do not actually surface as whiteheads and have been around forever, I can't get rid of them! I also have a lot of whiteheads/bumps in my t-zone, however that area is slowly clearing up I think. I am on two different multi-vitimans daily and iron tablets, I always eat 3 fruits each day and have a good diet. I exercise everyday and drink lots of water. I had bloodtests done and they can't find anything wrong hormonally. I was my face twice daily (I have just changed to Aveeno Clear Complexion in am, cetaphill at night) and moisturize and tone morning and night too. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :( my cheeks are clear but I have never had acne like this on my face before. I did have it for a short while on my forehead a couple of years ago (because I had a fringe) but it cleared up fairly quickly and well. Please help, I hate it so much and I can't cover it up because it is so lumpy and horrible and it makes me so insecure :( what can I do to help get rid of it? Or what makeup can I use to cover it up until it does clear, that won't clog my pores/make it worse? Drugstore or high end! Thanks so much in advance!Cystic Acne In Hairline, Best answer:

Sorry to say this but it's very difficult to make cystic acne go away on its own. I've had cystic acne on my cheek for almost 2 years. I suggest going to the dermatologist and get some antibiotics prescribed. I also found it really helpful to wash your face in really hot water, or put your forehead directly above a cup of steaming hot water. The heat will help kill the bacteria. For covering it up, I always use Bobbi Brown liquid foundation (any liquid foundation will work) and Revlon ColorStay concealer.
