I have been taking mynocycline antibiotics for about 7 weeks now for my acne.. I did have sex two days ago and we used a condom.. Now I'm having some slight uncomfort around my vagina, but it does not itch.. Just a slight burning sensation. I also applied cream for yeast infection just in case... Could this be a yeast infection?

Do you have any white "cottage cheese" discharge? Any itching on the outside of the vagina? Does it burn to pee? Those are classic signs of a yeast infection. Having a burning sensation/discomfort can indicate a small one, but it could be something else. Also, the antibiotics you took killed the natural protective "good" bacteria that inhabit your digestive system, as well as your reproductive/urinary system. When the protective "good" bacteria is gone, the small amount of yeast that naturally lives in the vagina can over-grow and cause infection. If you have a yeast infection, it can also mean you have a yeast over-growth in your digestive system, meaning, you could have candida. Condoms can irritate the vagina/urethra/bladder, either because of the latex, or the chemical lubrication. That could cause discomfort. Always take a potent probiotic after taking antibiotics. Always. Or else you'll just get sicker. Here's a good one: http://www.renewlife.com/ultimate-flora-critical-care-50-billion.html I took this after a round of antibiotics, and I felt better after taking them than before I took the antibiotics. Hope this helps. Also, I'm sure you know this, but, just in-case, because of your lowered immune system (most of the immune system lies in the digestive system), you may be more susceptible to infections, like bladder infections. Always wash your anus with LOTS of soap and water before intercourse. Like, wash a good 2-3 times to ensure that you're clean. The penis moving in and out can actually transfer bacteria (if it's there) from your anus/perineum to your vagina/urethra, since those two things are only like, 1 or 1 1/2 inches away from the anus... :D
