okay ive been looking online for acne treatment, and i cant find anything to help, so im going to the doctor to ask about acne soon, (not the dermatologist) and i want to be prepared what to ask. is their a certain product i can ask to use? i have pretty bad acne, on all of my face, some on my chest, and a lot on my back, and i have very oily skin. thanks so much!Acne Doctor Online, Best answer:

Ask him that you need a creme for your pimples(back,chest,face). And he will write you a precription so you can go to the pharmacy to pick it up. And add the detais that your skin is oily.

Treating acne is not quite so simple as it might appear. We have to take into consideration your gender, age, skin type, location of the acne, allergies that you might have, type of acne that you have, particular idiosyncracies, desires, other medicine that you might be on, pregnancy situation, etc. So, it's probably best to let the dermatologist examine you and recommend what he thinks is best for you. If you then have concerns about it (such as if he wants to put you on oral antibiotics, but you don't want to be), then that would be a time to discuss other possibilities. But I think it's a mistake for you to come into the meeting with a preconceived list of what you want to be on, as your medical knowledge probably isn't as great as his.
