Stress causes acne, &when you exercise, you're releasing stress. But don't forget to wash all that sweat off or they're gonna clog your pores.

No. The help for acne comes from you washing your face every day after exercise. Acne is dirt, bacteria & oil. Control these, and you've got a blemish-free face. My son (18) notices that going swimming in the summer can completely clear his face. Sunshine, chlorine, showering. Does the trick. TX Mom

Unfortunately, hard core exercise will not clear acne. It is the way the body is, or your skin type. I went through what you are, and I still am. I tried to exercise way more then usual, and nothing changed. Even diets have nothing to do with how the skin reacts, or so scientists say. However, going back to your normal routine will probably reduce it, if it worked for you before. Don't strain yourself, your body just needs the old habits back. Also, clean your face with an anti-bacterial face soap, that kills the bacteria. No bacteria, no oil!

This stress slows the healing process of you body (including skin) and also can cause a hormonal imbalance as well. Runner's high is nothing more than your body trying to protect itself from the stress you have caused it, it's your body's natural pain killer working to reduce stress. I recommend you go on walks or do short bursts of workouts that cause an oxygen deficit like sprints or swimming quickly back and forth across a pool. There are many body weight exercises that you can do as well, body weight exercises are better for you than lifting weights because they give your body exactly what it needs to become stronger whereas when you use weights your muscle fibers become inflated and most times imbalanced as well.
